Building Surveys
SECTORS & SERVICES

Goodbye cherry pickers.
Accessing roofs and facades of buildings can be both costly and time consuming, with feasibility constraints for even the tallest cherry pickers. Our permission from the Civil Aviation Authority allows us to use drones to survey buildings, even in central London.
High-resolution drone imagery can provide a complete data set of for a building, from stitched together photos of a facade, to full 3D models. With our fleet of small lightweight drones, we are able to safely get up close to buildings and collect data for clients to review from the comfort of their home or office.

The State of the Industry
The world will need to spend at least $57 trillion on building and maintaining infrastructure between now and 2030, saving money on every facet of a project is a necessity. Critical Infrastructure services need to be smarter, greener, and more efficient than ever, in today’s technologically advanced world a comprehensive digital overview is essential for success in design and maintenance. Our primary focus is on working with our partners to realise the full potential of asset digitisation from drone data.
We regularly undertake building inspections in London and other major cities across the UK. Many of our clients rely on our aerial imagery to undertake remote inspections. Providing a full snapshot of asset condition, reducing time on site and minimising health & safety concerns - have you considered using drones to inspect your next project?
“From proof of concept through to actionable surveys Future Aerial produced some exeptional data within the extremely stringent safety standards at Crossrail.
We used the data across all our teams for many more uses than originally intended and for many months during the development on site.”

Types of Building Survey
We are able to deliver georeferenced inspection imagery via online apps, providing location awareness to our clients. By understanding where each image was taken, users can mark up defects online and automate their maintenance reporting. To find out more, visit our dedicated 'Inspections' Page.
Crossrail
The requirement here was to produce highly accurate data for planning and setting out across the key supply site at C610 and to explore the potential uses of 3d mesh models in partnership with Bentley context capture and Costain. Data was used every day by all the teams involved at Plumstead and still continues to be used as development continues.
Inspection Imagery
We acquire, process and deliver a broad range of digital outputs from our surveys, here are a few common examples:
