Peace, Love and disruptive technology at Camp Alphaville

Well it is festival season but not quite as we know it – we are all really excited to be exhibiting and discussing disruptive technology at FT’s event Camp Alphaville come and join us at the Artillery Garden HAC London on wednesday 2nd July

Think of a festival, but for finance rather than music. Oh, and without the drugs.”

We will have our very own Andrew Blogg on the panel for the discussion

“When disruptive tech goes all George Jetson”

To India, and beyond.

There are obvious benefits of working with unmanned technologies, none more so than getting to travel the world deploying the latest technology on new and exciting projects. In March, FAi partnered with Scanlab Projects, London based 3d Scanning aficionados, and travelled India to complete a new approach to property development combining terrestrial and airborne point cloud data. The combination of unmanned and terrestrial laser scanned data allowed us to create topographic data covering very large areas, filled in with extremely high quality data. The results, currently being used by masterplanners, are impressive, and accurate.

As with lots of new technologies comes new methods of working. Such high resolution 3D data is not always easy to work with, but through a close relationship with the local company they are making full use of the data, so much so we are welcomed back to continue the work! India, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

FAI exhibit at Geo Business

The FAI team were excited to be exhibiting at the inaugural Geo Business exhibition at the London Business design centre on the 28th and 29th May. The largest Geo spacial event of the UK calendar saw the team catching up with existing and future clients in a busy and productive environment.

In the right hands, disruptive technologies can solve challenges of the past but the key to providing the solutions lies in meeting new people and understanding intrinsically the challenges they face. To that end we have gained plenty of insight and are looking forward to applying ourselves to some of the many new applications that have presented themselves during the show.

Thanks to all who stopped by and we look forward to catching up next year!
